We were proud to host Rep. Adam Smith of Washington’s 9th District at our Seattle office. Besides representing his community’s interests in Washington, Rep. Smith is the senior Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee.
He has served in the House of Representatives for over 20 years and is a very strong advocate for both Seattle and small companies in the defense and aerospace sectors. He spent time with Spaceflight Industries CEO and President Jason Andrews, who gave him an overview of BlackSky’s mission, and Rep. Smith took the time to discuss the role of private industry in working with governmental agencies.
